Description:

Otterpool Park LLP is the master developer leading on the delivery of the proposed new garden town of 8,500 homes located in the Kent countryside, within the Folkestone and Hythe District. This 600ha settlement is located to the south-west of Junction 11 of the M20 motorway and south of the high speed rail link, HS1.

Otterpool Park LLP is the Council owned delivery vehicle established to lead the creation of this high quality, sustainable new garden town that will deliver a significant proportion of the district’s housing requirement, create up to 9,000 jobs and business opportunities for local people, and provide a range of leisure, health, educational, community and cultural facilities. 50% of the new town will be open green accessible space with 35km of walking, cycling and heritage trails, 5 new country parks and a 20% increase in biodiversity.  A significant investment is proposed to upgrade Westenhanger Station enabling HS1 to stop reducing journey times to London St Pancras to 48 mins.
